Quality Harness

I bought a pair of these 3 years ago and have put approximately 2,500 canicross miles on them. Minor stitching repairs were needed here and there but these harnesses were put to the test with 2 70 lb weimaraners. The quality is unmatched and definitely up to the challenge of canicross with any breed in my opinion. Thanks for a great product -- looking forward to the replacements!

This is a very well made harness. The padding in the right spots, makes for a very comfortable fit. I have a 70 lb lab, and I found the large was too big for her. I had to go down to a medium. Another excellent product by Canadog!

I purchased the shorty harness for biking with my dog. It works incredibly well with no rub marks or sores as it is designed with active dogs in mind. My only negative comment.. and its not really negative.. KNOW YOUR DOGS BODY TYPE! This harness is rated according to your dogs weight. However, if you know your dog is fine bones/slim in nature then size down would be my suggestion. I got the Large which is 55-70 lbs because my girl is 65lbs. However, I cannot make it any smaller and lucky for me it appears to be fitting right. I just have alot of extra webbing to cut off and burn is all. Having said that.. THE PRODUCT IS AWESOME, the customer service is great and I think Shelley truly believes in her products and the 4 legged kids!

Shorty ripstock harness for tracking

Thank you Canadog for the top-notch harness as well as the efficient delivery. The product sits and stays well on my 10 mo/82 lb cane corso puppy, and the fit must also be great because she never minds putting it on or wearing it. A plus for puppy and owner! I also ordered the matching chili pepper collar, so we have fit, comfort, and style! Now we just have to practise our tracking skills!

I just received the designer shorty ripstop harness. I got the Aztec design. It looks awesome on my German Shepherd Kilo. Can't wait to canicross with him this summer, and skijor this winter. It is my second harness, the first for my siber Mia, great quality. Thanks for the fast service.

The harness fits well, stays in position, and is remarkably easy to put on. Our dog slides into it easily and cheerfully. The material is easy to clean and comfortable -- important features with an active young dog. When we go skiing, there is no evidence of chafing or strain. On hikes, our eager young husky can range ahead without catching the leash under her body. For safety, comfort, and ease, this harness is the way to go.

Finally, the right gear

Ce harnais est extraordinairement stable et extrêmement léger. Il fournit au maître un contrôle parfait sur la course du chien et, en ce sens, est très sécuritaire. Mes deux chiens de chasse (épagneul springer anglais et un retriever de la Nouvelle-Écosse /Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever/) portent ces harnais en randonné dans des conditions parfois extrêmes. Ils sont tout aussi efficaces à la campagne dans la boue, dans l’eau et dans la neige qu’à la montagne dans des sentiers étroits en pente raide. J’imagine qu’ils sont tout aussi performants à la ville sur l’asphalte! En canicross, les harnais de type X-back que j’ai essayés jusqu’à présent sont loin de procurer le même contrôle et la maniabilité que procure le «shorty ripstop». D’ailleurs, mon vétérinaire me déconseille les X-back pour le canicross et recommande plutôt les harnais avec l’attache entre les épaules comme le «shorty ripstop» de façon à réduire la pression sur les hanches mais surtout les côtes de l’animal en raison de l’angle formé par la longe attachée au maître. Enfin, un produit sérieux fabriqué par des gens qui s’y connaissent. «We really use our gear» est-il dit dans la vidéo de démonstration. J’en ai aucun doute! Bravo et merci Canadog.
